October News & Reads

November was a month that saw me thankful for many things including the amazing people who have read my debut novel and the other indie authors who have taught me about this writing world and be willing to share their knowledge with me. I hope that your November was filled with family and memories that you can keep with you.

Biggest news:

  • my life as a country album had its best month of sales yet. THANK YOU world!

  • The cover and edits for my life as a pop album are wrapping up. I can't wait to share Mia and Derek's story with you all in Feb. 2018. I hope to have cover reveal news for you in December.

  • I read a couple Advance Review Copies (ARCs) for other indie authors AND

  • Of course, I continued my day job with the 1st Graders. Those happy little people make me smile.

All of this means I continued to read only a small quantity of books again, but that also means I have the chance to share a little bit about each one with you.

One Night to Fall is a novella releasing December 5th by Kelsey Kingsley. It is a lovely story that is coming of age and second chance rolled into one. I LOVE this story and it's characters. And the best thing yet, is that it's the 1st in a series about the Kinney Brothers all of whom will make your heart pound and ache for them all at the same time. Genre: Romance

Heal Me by Alexandra Page is the sequel to Save Me that I read last month. It continues the heart-wrenching story of Nik and Ellie. You won't want to miss their HEA. Genre: Steamy Romance, 18+

Wait for It by Mariana Zapata is another fabulous read by the Queen of Slow Burn herself. This book actually came out last year, but somehow I missed it until it was on the Goodreads Book of the Year list. I love how this story gives characters from Ms. Zapata's other books their own voice. But, above all that, it's a story of love and family and all the relationships that matter in our lives as daughter, sister, mother, friend, lover. You won't ever be disappointed with a Mariana Zapata read. Genre: Romance

A Brit Complicated by Brenda St. John Brown is actually the 3rd installment in the Castle Calder series, but each book can be read as a standalone. This was a fun and engaging read that dealt with not only your typical romance, but about finding your way in your first job. It made me laugh out loud several times. This was my first read by this author, but it won't be my last. Genre: New Adult Romance. Moderate to Hot Steam level.

As always, I encourage you to decide if these books are for you by reading the descriptions and reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. And, when you are done reading, please write your own review so that others, and the author, get to hear your opinion. Even the most famous authors love to know what readers think.

Happy Reading!
