Monthly Book Winner Announced

It’s FALL! Yay! I love Fall. It’s my second favorite season. Spring is my first because of the flowers and the feeling that everything is new and fresh. In the California Central Valley, it doesn’t really feel like fall yet, but I’ll keep hoping. Do you have leaves changing colors where you live? If so, you should send me some on my social media accounts (links at the bottom of the post). I'm in fall withdrawals over here.

Last week I was so excited to reveal the cover of MY LIFE AS A MIXTAPE. I'm floored by the overwhelming positive response to the cover. Thank you!

This week, I wanted announce the October Giveaway Winner for subscribers to my LJ Evans Books Newsletter. And, while I was at it, I thought I’d let you know that you can catch up with excerpts for MIXTAPE on my Facebook author page. I'll be posting one every Tuesday until release - which is SIX WEEKS AWAY!!! EEEEEK!

You may remember that I told you that MY LIFE AS A MIXTAPE is on a Goodreads List for Novembers’ Most Anticipated Romance reads. I’m incredibly excited to have it there, and last I checked it was number 11 on the list. If you add it to your Goodreads “Want to Read” list, you can then vote for it at the link below. If you did that, you’d make me one of the happiest authors ever.

While I’m here, I wanted to let you know that MY LIFE AS A COUNTRY ALBUM will be on sale for just $0.99 in the US and UK October 7th through 10th in celebration of the American Music Awards...because, you know, my books are inspired by MUSIC!! If you haven’t had a chance to get it yet, this would be a great time.

I still don’t have a release date for the audiobook of COUNTRY, but my narrator, Sarah Puckett, and I are still hoping to have it come out in October. I’ll be sure to post about it when it becomes available.

Looking for some book recommendations? Here are some books I was excited to read this month:

How to Liv by Megan Keith

Romance that makes you feel like you know the characters because they are just everyday people with everyday jobs. No rich and famous beings, but pure romance.

Double-Sided Magic (Legacy Series) by McKenzie Hunter

Urban Fantasy with edgy, fun dialog and great world building

Crossed Paths by Autumn Ruby

Releases this week and I got to read the ARC – it’s a fun, easy read but also deals with PTSD in a realistic way.

Breakaway by A.M. Johnson

Hockey romance with older female. Was perfectly done. Steamy middle of the book sex scenes, but the sex doesn't take up the whole story or overshadow the romance.

My good friend, Katy Ames, just released a book on September 28th which has lots of feels and amazing words. Returning to Eden is a steamy, second chance romance.

I’m always amazed when anyone gets this far in my blog posts—THANK YOU! Don't forget to check out the excerpt for MY LIFE AS A MIXTAPE on my FB Page. I hope you like it!

Happy Reading!
