Are you in the mood for romance?
I’m always up for a good love story. Any kind of novel of any genre that has a romance inside it will make my heart happy. In my own life, I’m lucky to have been with the love of my life for twenty-five years.
Can I tell you a secret? It’s the small things—like him opening doors for me—that still get to me. Can I tell you another secret? We don’t do Valentine’s Day…we’re crazy, I know. I write romance, I read romance, but I don’t celebrate the most romantic day of the year? Strange! Steve & I have always felt like we didn’t need someone telling us that we had to say “I love you” in a certain way on a certain day. We’re rebels, I guess. I am much happier when he randomly brings me flowers rather than feeling like he has to bring me overpriced ones on Feb. 14th. That sounded preachy, sorry. It’s just us. Who we are. But I do ADORE romance. Whenever it happens, Valentine’s Day or not.
TELL ME: DO YOU DO VALENTINE’S DAY? WHAT’S ONE THING THAT SOMEONE’S DONE FOR YOU THAT WAS VERY ROMANTIC ON VALENTINE’S DAY OR NOT?
What I am looking forward to in February is…meeting AMY HARMON! I am attending the San Francisco Golden Gate Author Event as just a fellow fangirl. Amy is one of my very few one-click authors, and the inspiration for my own writing. Her stories and characters have so much heart. I’ll be fangirling over her on Feb. 16th, so send me good vibes that I won’t come across as tooooo stalker-ish. I’ll post pics on my social medial sites—if you want to check out my fangirl moment.

FIRST LOOK TITLE REVEAL
I have two exciting bits of news for you! Well, I think they’re exciting, you might think: “sigh, more book news?” For me, it’s my happy spot, so I’ll share, and hope you are as excited as I am.The first news is that the contemporary romance I’ve been working on is about 80% complete. Well. That’s just the first cruddy draft, but it’s getting there. AND, it finally has a TITLE thanks to the hubby who always participates in my creative endeavors.
DRUM ROLL…AND THE TITLE is…
The book has a very tentative release date and a teaser book description on Goodreads http://bit.ly/GDbyLJonGR

COMING SOON FROM LJ
More exciting new? Why not! My second tidbit: I’m thrilled to announce that MY LIFE AS A POP ALBUM is on its way to becoming an audiobook. The amazing Sarah Puckett (who narrated Country Album as well) has agreed to collaborate with me once more. We think it’s going to be live sometime in April, but these things need life (and the book gods) to cooperate, so the date is just a tentative one. You can listen to the first chapter on my website or on my FB page.
LJ'S MUSIC & STORIES
I kicked off my new FB group, called LJ’s Music and Stories in January with a whole of bunch of authors and giveaways. If you missed out, don’t feel too bad, there’s always giveaways and guests popping up in the group so it's not too late to join.
Wondering what the heck this group is all about? Here’s the group’s description:
This group is a place to share and celebrate 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜, 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 who help us 🅻🅸🆅🅴 🅻🅸🅵🅴 🆁🅴🆂🅸🅻🅸🅴🅽🆃🅻🆈. Things that help us get through the ups and downs of life. Things that help us become the best versions of ourselves that we can become.
That's what I hope my readers see in all my books too—people who have lived past their challenges. We do not have to forget—or get over—the things that have happened to us, but we can take them, make them part of us, and then become a different version of ourselves.
I hope the group interests you. We’ve already got over 200 members interacting and helping each other out daily through this crazy thing called life.
Come join us! What do you have to lose?

GOOD-BYE & HAPPY FEBRUARY!
Thanks for reading all of my February post. I’m always amazed when you get to the end. It makes me feel the love! Speaking of, whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or not, I do truly wish you a day and a month full of romantic moments. And if you don’t want that right now (because, let’s face it – not everyone wants love to enter their world at a particular time), I still hope you have family and friends to share the month of “love” with.
p.s. Will you take a moment to follow me on BookBub? It helps indie authors gain more traction and visibility with one of the best book advertisers in the world. Thank you for doing this for me. I truly appreciate it.
