There's something about summer that makes us believe fresh starts are possible. Maybe it's the longer evenings or the sound of waves. Maybe it's remembering who we were before life became so complicated.
The romances I return to every summer aren't simply set on beaches or light rom-coms with a vacation cute meet.
My favorite beach stories are about second chances, healing, and believing that love might still be waiting for you.
I want the melancholy ache that accompanies the character on their sunset beach stroll. I want the sweet smell of summer AND a hard hit of longing.
